Technical Expert in Finance Management

The ICPDR is mandated to implement the Danube River Protection Convention (DRPC) and is the basin-wide coordination platform for the implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive and the EU Floods Directive. Technical Expert in Finance Management The expert is responsible for the financial administration of the ICPDR including overall accounting. The tasks include bookkeeping, processing of payments and transfers, dealing with tax issues, administration of bank accounts, salaries administration, reporting to Austrian Social authorities and producing of financial reports for presentation to the Standing Working Group and Ordinary Meeting. The financial expert works under the direct supervision of the Executive Secretary. Preferably 10 years of experience in the field of accounting and financial management from an international private or

public organization. Experience with bookkeeping system management, recording of financial information, and preparation of financial reports, fluency in English and German. The position will be open by 1 February 2012 in the ICPDR Secretariat at the Vienna International Centre. Nationals of Austria, Bosnia- Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and other EU member states are welcome to compete for this position.
