Refreshing New Look
Windows Mobile® 6 comes with new and refreshing looking icons and skins. The following is a comparison table of the icons from Windows Mobile® 5.0 and Windows Mobile® 6.

Synchronise Your Device with the PC
Depending on the Operating System (OS) of your PC, you will need either Microsoft ActiveSync® 4.5 (or later) or Windows Mobile® Device Center to synchronise your device with your PC. If you are using Windows XP, you will need ActiveSync 4.5 (or later); if you are using Windows Vista™, you will need Windows Mobile Device Center.

Getting ActiveSync® or Windows Mobile® Device Center
If you are upgrading from Windows Mobile® 5.0 to Windows Mobile® 6, you need to download either ActiveSync® 4.5 or Windows Mobile Device Center from the Microsoft Web site. You can download these from:

Mercedes Bluetooth Upgrade Kit

Once the MBU-2000 connects with a mobile device, the green LED (phonebook upload indicator) starts flashing. The LED flashes each time a connection is established with a mobile phone. As the LED flashes, the MBU-2000 determines whether the mobile phone is phonebook sync compatible and downloads the phonebook contacts automatically. When this process is complete, the flashing green LED becomes a solid green LED.

To transfer new contacts to the Mercedes handsfree/audio system, press the Phonebook Upload/Sync button once to activate it. A “Tel Error” message will appear on the LCD for a few seconds while contacts are being transferred. When the display shows “In Service” or “ViseeO” again, the user can check whether the contacts are in the system memory.

However, when the mobile device does not support phonebook sync, the green LED flashes only a couple of times and then disappears. If this occurs, please go to Subsection B for an alternative method for uploading contacts.
