This account is designed to capture all air/rail and in some cases amended for lodging for your individual school’s/department’s business conferences, group, meetings, tours and infrequent traveler use. NYU approved Student Travel should be purchased using the BTA. Only Student Tour Group Travel must be handled via a Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order. Student Tour Group Travel is definedas a group requesting a travel package that includes air, hotel, meals, transfers, tour guide, tour bus and entry tickets for museums, etc. The Business Travel Account (BTA) provides your school with a number of important direct billing advantages, including: • Increased convenience for your travelers • Business Travel Accident Insurance • Improved travel policy compliance, and • Improved school/department budget cash flow With the BTA, simply make your appropriate air, rail and/or lodging arrangements through the travel agency of your choice.
