Photo A Photo B 1. Unclip and remove the intake hose from the air box assembly. 2. Remove the air box hot air flap vacuum hose from the rear of the intake housing. Blank off the vacuum outlet pipe with the rubber plug supplied. 3. Unclip and remove the intake scoop from the front cross member and air box assembly. 4. Remove the flexi hose from between the exhaust manifold and the air box hot air flap. 5. Remove the air box assembly from the front mounting rubber, then slide the assembly out of the rear mounting grommets. Remove the assembly from the car. 1. Fit the new mounting bracket to the original rear air box mounting grommetusing the large washers, spring washer, flat washer, nut and screw which are provided in the kit. 2. Fit the metal tube up to the step in the filter base. Do not push beyond the step as this will affect air flow. Tighten the studded clip on the filter until the filter just turns. 3. Fit the filter assembly in the intake hose and firmly tighten the new clip supplied. 4. Attach the studded clip to the new bracket using the flat washer, spring washer and nut supplied. 5. Rotate the filter so the K&N logo is straight then tighten the clip one full turn (360 degrees) no more, Do not overtighten the clip. 6. Carefully lengthen the flexi cold air hose to approx. 64cm / 25”. Feed the hose down between the plastic trim next to the radiator to the front lower grille. Attach the top of the flexi cold air hose to the top coolant hose using a long plastic tie. Position the flexi cold air hose so that it points at the filter and is 10cm / 4” away no nearer. Your car and the engine bay should look like the ones in these pictures, if not...
