Disassembly 1. Remove line actuator cover bolts. See Fig. 53 . Carefully remove cover and connector plate. Remove line actuators by twisting line actuator as it is pulled from valve body. 2. Remove through bolts. Separate valve body and separator plate. Remove check balls. See Fig. 54 . Remove manual valve. Remove each valve assembly. Retain in proper order for reassembly. See Fig. 55 and Fig. 56 .
Inspection
Inspect valves for scoring, nicks and scratches. Inspect springs for damaged or distorted coils. For spring free length specifications, see VALVE BODY SPRING SPECIFICATIONS table. Using a No. 43 (2.25 mm) drill bit, insert drill bit shank into connector plate terminals. Ensure drill bit drags slightly in each terminal. If bit does not drag slightly, replace connector plate. Inspect valve body casting for porosity, interconnected fluid passages and damaged machined surfaces.
