We also have an application that is now a hybrid of programmtically generated code, as well as human written code. This can work, but is typically not a comfortable place to be. Let me give some examples of the problems here. Figure 1 shows the Java class files that were generated by WebDynpro in the performance of the “Welcome” tutorial. This tutorial produced a mini-application with two screens, consisting of an initial screen with one input field, and a confirmation screen echoing the data back (entered from the first screen). The application uses the application context to store the content of the entry field. In constructing this application, WebDynpro produced 25 Java class files, which are shown in Figure 1, as well as 17 configuration files, as shown in Figure 2.
